Realizing it is now November 25th… and freaking out a little bit…
- As a procrastinator, I’m feeling the stress of Christmas gift projects (read that as things only I can do/complete) not yet finished.
- My foot surgery is scheduled for Wednesday morning. I’ll be mobile afterward but very much slowed down.
So I’m going to take a deep breath and just focus on today, one day at a time. God knows what I need, and I’ve discovered that He is full of surprises — like this heart I saw in the kids’ ice cream bucket last summer:
It’s chocolate, of course. After all, God knows my heart well.
What gets done gets done, what doesn’t doesn’t. It is very freeing.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
I hope your surgery goes well! Gifts are just as nice to get after Christmas, so make sure you take the time you need to heal.
What are you having done? Be brave! And stock up on the ice cream before surgery!
I’m with Jenn here – it’ll be Christmas even if we don’t get everything done just like we always have before…
One day at a time, one task at a time. Just breathe in and out. Relax.
Good luck with surgery.
Mmmmm, chocolate heart!
Well, I just caught up with a whole lot of your posts. It sounds as though you had a wonderful thanksgiving and now you have to share that fudge recipe you know! I hope your surgery goes well. As for the gifts, I am sure everything will get finished.
Hearts are everywhere…my heart is wishing you a speedy recovery! Good luck tomorrow 🙂
Oh dear. I’m trying to catch up and here it is Wednesday.. the day of your surgery. I hope it went well. And that your pain melts as quickly as that yummy and endearing chocolate heart.
