I came across your blog entry while researching the Societa Veneziana Conterie. I, too, bought some of these wonderful vintage beads from Shipwreck. Just wanted to leave a note saying I hope you are having as much fun with them as I am. Isn’t it amazing to hold history in your hands that way. Some of those beads had already been sitting in storage for years when Mussolini made sure the trains ran on time. I love it.
