Count your blessings, name them one by one…
I’m using Thursday posts to focus on thankfulness — and instead of counting blessings, I’m challenging myself to come up with them alphabetically. (You can find the rest of the posts in this series here.)
Welcome to P week!
P is for Party! Since our family is split between two towns (with 3 kids at the college 90 minutes away and the rest of us here) we are having a joint birthday party for EB and SuperDad on Saturday. I’m grateful that my oldest 2 boys (and daughter-in-law) have chosen to attend a university so close to home (in a town that begins with the letter P) so that we can actually see them for important occasions. This party will look a lot like going out to lunch. However, I might bring along some cupcakes and/or pie… or perhaps individual pies disguised as little tarts. I haven’t decided yet. There will be presents (at least for EB… I haven’t yet come up with one for my dh) and the surprise addition of SuperDad’s parents who are meeting us there.
I just realized this won’t be a surprise if my dh reads this blog. Pfffft !!
P is also for Pajamas, Piñatas, Poetry, Patterns (I’d be lost without them, especially when it comes to quilting!) and bread-and-butter Pickles. I spend countless hours perusing my pictures; thank God for digital photography!

Now it’s your turn to pick a few favorite blessings that begin with the letter P….
Please name them in your comments.
PS: If you see ads here on my blog, they have nothing to do with me or this post. WordPress would like me to upgrade to ad-free $tatu$ but I plan on ignoring that plea. I may be low-budget but did you notice how well I worked in the P-words there? 😉
Pottery,of course.
Petunias, potatoes and posey.
Yes, I’m thankful for ALL those things you named. I would add the pediatricians who helped keep my kids healthy through the years. And peppers, for adding sweetness and spice to life. Oh, and Pumpkin – it’s starting to be pumpkin season, which I love.
I’m thankful for Prayers – especially those that were said when I had serious health problems. I”m thankful that God hears our Prayers even when the answer is often not what we expect. I am thankful for — Pies, especially Pumpkin — For Peaches, Pears, Pineapple and chocolate Pudding — Pigs, as I so enjoy eating Pork — For Peaceful days — That I live near Puget Sound and the Pacific ocean –That I can Post my comments on your blog.
You have some fun people to celebrate in your life!
Let me see…prayer, Packers, pizza, peace and quiet.
I have to think on this one. P … I know I am thankful for the things you have already mentioned and some of the ones that others have mentioned … what could I add?
I am thankful for my mother whose name begins with the letter P. I am thankful for the piles of wood and clothes (do those count again?)
You can be thankful for your piles. 🙂 I’m trying to be thankful for my piles of stuff… I’m afraid that some of them are just clutter! The wood pile that my husband has been creating is definitely something for which I am thankful for all winter long. Q will be up today. 🙂
Oh believe you me! I have stuff piles downstairs as well. My DH loves stuff! and lots of it. He is a hoarder actually … mild one but still likes lots of stuff that he never looks through or uses. 😦 So I have those that I am not really as thankful for. But at least we are not without if I could ever find them lol
